Charity of Choice:

I've been streaming for 4 years, and it's only now that I've decided to do my first charity stream.

My charity of choice is Te Omanga Hospice. They provide palliative care for cancer patients, and support for the patient's family. They cared for my oldest brother, making him as comfortable as possible before he passed on in 1998. Their service has had such a profound impact on my family. I try to donate where possible for them. Our goal for this organization is NZD$500.

I can recall very little about my brother's journey with cancer. I was still a teenager while it was happening - I was 16 when he moved on. I don't know what type of cancer he had - only that it affected his hip, and leg to the point where his leg swell up. Before he was bedridden, he relied on my dad - who was in his late 60s - to physically move him around. I don't know if it was when he was immobile that Te Omanga Hospice got involved, mainly because I never saw them as I was at school. But the impact they had on my family hasn't been forgotten. My mother, father, and sister have seen their work, and have spoken highly of them. I never appreciated them until years later, when I got to see it first-hand.

I know that this selection of charity is very localised - it's potentially hard for people to donate to a charity they've never heard of, or have little to relate with in terms of where they operate. If you don't feel comfortable donating to this charity, but still want to help, I would encourage you to find an organization in your region that provides palliative care. Being kind to each other is important during these interesting times. The staff at Te Omanga Hospice do it daily, and with a supportive smile.

    Terms & Conditions for event

    Gameplay

Participation of games have been pre-arranged by Shift+F7 (the "Streamer"). While the Streamer may exercise judgement to expand the player list during the stream, it should be understood that some games that may support more players, will only be played with certain people the Streamer are familiar with. Please do not be offended if the Streamer elects to not play games with people whom are not familiar to them.

    Giveaways

To qualify for an entry into the giveaway, you will need to have donated a minimum of NZD$10.

Only the person who originally entered the giveaway can be awarded the prize (the "Winner"). Once a Winner has been determined by the Streamer, the decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The Winner will need to be prepared to add the Streamer on Steam to receive the prize. The prize is not transferable, exchangable (unless Steam prevents this), and cannot be be redeemed for fund transfer. In the event that the prize cannot be given on Steam, the Streamer reserves the right to seek alternative platforms the prize is available on, or exchange it for a different game on Steam of lower or equal value.

    Donations

All funds that are collected will be in New Zealand Dollar (NZD). They will be paid to a PayPal business account, that is announced on Twitch by StreamElements. When making payments, you may see an additional charge for currency conversion fees - please be aware that funds you donate may be different from what is actually charged to your payment method. Please consult your payment provider, and PayPal for any fees you may encounter. Donations are completely voluntary, and are not required. Please note that donations are non-refundable.
